Really, I'm Going to Get Shit Done
January 3, 2006 1:50 PM
o, my apartment is still a mess, not much progress has been made on my paper (fucking library closed at 6 today, which was a pain in the ass because i didn't get there until 5:30), Smash still hasn't gotten his rabies shot, i haven't called the doctor about Buttercup's surgery and my car remains in shambles. And now i'm going to watch one episode (just one, i swear) of firefly. After that, i will finish writing about Scalia's dissent in Romer v. Evans if it kills me.
This Onion article strongly reminds me of my life. Except that the dude has a girlfriend and i do not. Otherwise, it's pretty much on target.

This is what I got done today on my paper. I talked about it. As in "I really should work on that 40 page paper due in less than a week." Than I got all five of the sources I printed out when I wrote my one page introduction and put them in a pile. Another productive day in the life of Katherine, law review member extraordinair.
Okay, so now I have a blog too since I needed one to comment. Bastard. Also, I meant to say then instead of than. Also, I am a better blogger than you because my blog is set in the right time zone.
Also, I have come up with a great idea for my article. Rather than give a hypothetical example of negligent v. intentional spoliation, i am going to give them a real life one. It is a very Law In Action kind of thing. I tell them "I had my article, but it has been destroyed." The effect is the same. No article. Does it matter whether it was intentional or negligent? No. My point is proven and a blank page with my name on it is published in the WLR.
