oly fucking shit! Conan O'Brien and Ismael Richter are working together again!

I'm not sure if the idea of an accountant accidentally forced to be a private investigator is good or funny, but i'll give it a chance based on the fact that Conan and Ismael kick ass together, at least when they're improvising self deprecating comments.

Well, accountant to Broadway producer/scam artist worked wonderfully in "The Producers." Accountants are stereotypically boring. Getting them away from the adding machines lends itself to good situations.

The devil is in the writing. Make funny scripts, and Conan "Scandanavian female President" O'Brien and Ismael Richter will execute smashingly.

For a counterexample, see that Ismael Richter was only able to really control the Universe at select times.
