"That Was One of the Best Crosses I've Ever Seen a Student Do."
December 4, 2006 8:11 PM
hat's what my trial ad prof just said of my cross examination of a witness in my mock trial final. Let's see it again, just for the sake of gloating:
That was one of the best crosses I've ever seen a student do.Holy shit! I'm invincible! That's pretty much one of the best things that's happened to me in law school and, more importantly, it made me even more sure than ever that I want to be a litigator.
I've never really doubted it, to be honest, but this trial ad class convinced me beyond all possible doubt. Litigating seems like the most fun ever. You get to go to court and do something that cannot possibly be descibed as boring, you get to cross-examine people, you get to impeach people, you get to object--in short, it's the best thing ever.
Man, I can't wait to be a lawyer!

ahhh! go you!
I hope you remembered to refresh the hostile witness' memory with a live tiger.
Congratulations, Ismail. You're an asset to MZRM. You have no qualms about destroying the witness, live tiger present or absent.
Just remember, by the time you finally take an exam, I will have taken five exams. This two day break between classes on Wednesday and exams on Saturday (and Sunday) is cruel and unusual scheduling. I'm pretty much anti-school because of this. All the more reason to be glad you're getting something out of it. Cheers.
if i were ever in court for something, and you were the other guy's lawyer i would be really scared of being on the stand. more so if there's really a tiger.
Tigers, tigers. . . why is everyone talking about tigers? Is it because of tigers in the courtroom? I'm pretty doped up right now, but not so doped up I can't say "congratulations."
